“In a dark place she kept behind a locked door, she worried
that it was too late to mend the tears in the fabric of her marriage…” No Perfect Secret, Jackie Weger

No Perfect SecretBook Synopsis

Anna Nesmith has it all—enchanting looks, a great job, an exquisite home, a husband she should adore. Then Frank Caburn arrives at her door in the midst of a winter storm. He was hatless, dripping wet, and exuding testosterone so thick it could’ve been churned into butter. An internal investigator for the State Department, Caburn insists the questions he has for Anna about her husband, her finances, and her personal life are merely routine.
Anna suspects differently. What she learns over the coming hours, days, and weeks shatters every facet of her well-ordered life. Her confidence plunges, her husband doesn’t come home, her dream job has to be put on hold, and her mother-in-law comes unhinged. All she wants to do is indulge in her misery, but Frank Caburn won’t have it. He has a droll and infuriating sense of humor. He forces laughter from her lips when all she wants is to indulge her misery. Man to the bone, Caburn’s smile could take him from a cocktail hour to a bedroom, but he finds Anna enduring, unassailable, and far too intelligent to be swayed by mere charisma. He wants off the investigation. But his boss is a rock, and his colleague is a hard place, and both have their own agendas. Caburn is on his honor to do the right thing. He knows the secret and is forbidden to reveal it. Yet, he’s promised Anna he will always tell her the truth. He realizes he will have to tread very carefully to gain her trust—and her bed.
Coping with one disaster after another, Anna longs to lean on Caburn, absorb his strength, and yes, she wants to release her pent-up passion. She feels like some mad god is urging her to go to bed with the man, enjoy it, and then get on with her life. But that isn’t what the Fates have in mind … .

Book Review of No Perfect Secret

If I could fill the page with a multitude of “wows” followed by a paragraph or two packed with compliments, I still wouldn’t be able to write a review to adequately praise No Perfect Secret by Jackie Weger. Not only was I completely blown away by this literary powerhouse, but I was also pleasantly surprised by the ending Ms. Weger crafted.

Let me explain.

I’m one of those people who can’t stand to see a good movie end.  Same is true of a well written novel. I anticipate the final page and the very last line, always optimistic, but sometimes not quite satisfied with the finale.
Jackie Weger, however, never failed to disappoint.
From the first chapter right down to the final line, Ms. Weger went above and beyond a writer’s call. With a clever end, No Perfect Secret  left this reader longing for another Jackie Weger novel. Still, I was perfectly content with the way the writer wrapped up everything nice and tight like a well presented package topped with beautiful ribbons and an expensive bow.
As the blurb suggests, Anna Nesmith has everything a woman could want. Minus an annoying mother-in-law, Anna has a life most would envy, but as secrets unravel, Anna discovers her life is anything but what it seems.
When Frank Caburn enters her life, he could easily complicate things in a hurry. Instead, he uses his career and position to help Anna cope with the ramifications of a bad marriage and a husband who not only left her to deal with his wayward ways, but also the embarrassment of having his unscrupulous secrets revealed.

From the well appointed comic relief to the building suspense, No Perfect Secret raises the bar for intrigue, mystery and a tender sweet romance. Jackie Weger writes a brilliant romantic suspense. Liquid Silver Books just landed a superstar.

Dominic Brioni’s assignment is simple. Befriend the American and bring her to justice. Only Lexie seems like the most unlikely terrorist Dominic has ever met. Sweet, determined, and direct, she faces life with courage and fire, a fire that sparks his protective instincts and a longing for something more—something he allowed himself to hope for only once before.

But that woman betrayed him, and his boss isn’t about to let him forget it. With his career on the line and Lexie in danger, will Dominic learn to trust his heart before they both get killed?

Book Review of Murder, Mi Amore
A jewelry heist goes terribly wrong placing Lexie Cortese in the center of danger when a diamond is placed inside her purse by mistake.  Soon, Lexie is glancing over her shoulder and danger looms around every corner.
A tourist in Rome, Lexie is looking forward to her new life without the baggage of old attachments. Making three wishes at the Trevi Fountain,  Lexie hopes to one day find love and happiness. Unbeknownst to Lexie, her sexy Italian hero is set to emerge, but his entry into her life is anything but happenstance.
From the beginning, author Cara Marsi sets the stage for a thrilling romantic suspense packed with excitement.  With fewer than forty thousand words, this novella is written in a way where every line counts. Each page is filled with passages to treasure.
Ms. Marsi captivates her readers as she takes them by the hand and leads them down the streets of Rome.  Right away, readers will feel the energy of Italy’s thriving capital city. They’ll find themselves immersed in the culture, stopping along the way to revel in the magnificent architecture as seen through a writer’s eyes.
Vivid descriptions, charming dialogue, and a fantastic storyline make this novella a must-read for those who enjoy thrillers, action-adventure, and suspense. To top it off Murder, Mi Amore is a tender sweet romance with all the makings of a book perfectly suited for film adaptation.
Cara Marsi earns a standing ovation. Murder, Mi Amore is sensational.

Our traffic continues to increase thanks to many of you spreading the word about Romance Reviews Submitted by Authors. This site is a labor of love and a true opportunity for authors to receive a fair share of additional promotion above and beyond the advertising spaces purchased.

We continue to look for author-reviewers willing to review, but ask for serious inquiries only. Several books were sent out for review without a review returned. When this happens, we don't send out another free copy, we purchase the book because the advertising author didn't provide a free copy for review and instruct us to send out their PDFs like a free-for-all.

With the aforementioned, we understand things happen, schedules change, and very often it's tough to review a book when deadlines loom. Still, if you have some free time, we'd love to offer you the opportunity to review one of our books in exchange for the PR our reviews receive via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites. Just drop a line to: reviewsforallauthors@gmail.com. Additionally, we’re looking for one author to interview our advertising authors. Please inquire direct to destinyblaine@yahoo.com.

A limited number of author showcases are available. Link ads are still available as well. We don't have cover ad spots open at this time. However, since we are a first-come-first-serve site, we will hold spaces for advertising beginning November 1st. Reviews only post after advertisement term begins. Currently, we’re taking care of our backlog first.

I'll be out of town this weekend, but will return on Monday to answer any questions you may have about the site. My daughter will release the reviews set for today. I have a feeling you'll enjoy many of them. ;)

Thank you for joining us. Have a great weekend!
